"The people that make up Woof! Productions came together last year over a shared love of musicals. "Company" is the company's second effort. It's a good one.....it's a treat to encounter a musical in the 80-seat Carsen Theatre at the Dairy Center. The set is sparse, actors don't use microphones, and Arthur T. Ortega Jr. leads a crisp three-piece band -- keyboards, electric bass, drums -- through Sondheim's score. That leaves the voices of Woof!'s 14-person cast front and center. It's a fine effort that features some strong singers, including leading man Riggs."
