Woof! Pack Members

Abby Apple   Abby is very proud to be a part of Woof! Productions.   She played Joanne in last year's production of Company and Robyn in Woof’s inaugural production of Godspell. Abby recently appeared as Tzietel in Fiddler on the Roof and  Suzanne in Dearly Departed at Longmont Theatre Company.  Abby has also worked with Main Street Players and Coal Creek Community Theater. In 2005, Abby was the recipient of an All State Acting Award at the Colorado Community Theater Coalition Competition in Fort Morgan. Abby has been a TARA Award Winner for her portrayal of Suzanne in Dearly Departed. Before moving to Colorado in 1999, Abby lived and performed in many cities across the country. While living in Los Angeles, she could be seen in her one-woman cabaret show at such venues as The Rose Tattoo, The Cinegrille and The Gardenia Room. The next stop for Abby was as a featured singer for Norwegian and Cunard Cruise Lines. With a couple of years, in between, as the featured singer at Bally’s Hotel and Casino’s long running show Jubilee in Las Vegas, Nevada. While in Las Vegas,  Abby also worked as an extra in the movies Casino and Leaving Las Vegas. Abby finally moved to New York City and was a regular performer on the stage of New York City’s Town Hall as a singer in the ASCAP Cabaret showcases performing along side Dixie Carter, Margaret Whiting, Betty Buckley, Bobby Short, Michael Feinstein, Julie Wilson, Marilyn and Alan Bergman, Stephen Schwartz and Barbara Cook to name a few. 
  Beth Beckel   Beth is a graduate student at the University of Colorado at Boulder in Environmental Studies, but stays sane through her theatrical side-life.  She has performed and worked both on and backstage in a variety of community and school theater productions, including her favorite role as Joanne in Company at Colorado College.  She is thrilled to be a new member of the Woof! team as assistant stage manager for I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.
 

Greg Belfor  Greg is a founding member and current board member of Woof!.  Greg has been seen in Woof!'s Godspell, Longmont Theatre Company's Suspenders and Once Upon A Mattress and on various improv stages in the Denver area.  Backstage, Greg has handled sound design, stage management....and most recently lights for I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  Soon, there will be nothing he cannot do and he'll take over the world!  Bwahhahahahahahahaaaaa!

Maureen Casulo   Maureen was most recently seen as Mrs. MacLaren in Brigadoon at Longmont Theatre Company.  She was a founding member of Connecticut's Orange Players, where she performed in many a musical, comedy, and children's theater production. She has worn many hats as a performer, singer, dancer, as well as properties and production support crew.  I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change marks her second show with Woof! as Properties Mistress and she enjoys working with such talented, delightful folks.
 

Melissa Fike  Melissa is a founding Woof! member and recently performed in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.  She also played Amy in Company for Woof!  Locally, she has been seen as Golde in Fiddler on the Roof and as Jack's mother in Into the Woods, both for Longmont Theatre Company (TARA awards - Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress respectively). She was Joanne in Woof!'s inaugural production of Godspell and has performed with Imagination Makers Theatre Company.  She spent nine years performing around the country and on PBS with the five-time Emmy Award-winning The News in Revue where she was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Acting.  Her many credits include Val in A Chorus Line, the title role in Peter Pan, Gooch in Mame, and a year-long engagement at Walt Disney World in the musical revue Memory Lane. Melissa is a first grade teacher in Firestone, CO. 

 

Heather Frost     As the founder of Woof! Theatre Productions, Heather is honored to continue as the company's Artistic Director.  Heather serves as producer and stage manager for I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  She was recently seen in Brigadoon, which marked her 14th performance in a musical.  Locally, Heather has appeared in Woof!'s productions of Godspell and Company (playing the role of Jenny).  She's also performed in Damn Yankees, Guys & Dolls, and Jesus Christ Superstar at Longmont Theatre Company (LTC).  She has also worked as Stage Manager, Assistant Director, and Dog Trainer for LTC.  Her next project is assistant directing The King and I with Bernie Cardell for Performance Now.

  Marc Graham   Marc makes his second appearance in a Woof! show in I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  He played Paul in last year's Woof! production of Company.  Having trod the boards of five states over [mumble] years, past performances include All My Sons (Chris), A Few Good Men (Kafee), The Secret Garden (Archibald), Guys & Dolls  (Sky) and Camelot (Lancelot). "Thanks to the gang for asking me to come out to play again, and to Laura, Bailey and Killian for giving me permission."
 

Dan Kushmaul   Dan is a founding Woof! member and was on the production crew for Woof!'s third show, I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  His previous musical roles include Godspell and Company for Woof!, as well as the Narrator/Mysterious Man in Into the Woods, a disciple of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Mrs. White (yes, Mrs. White) in Clue--The Musical, all with Longmont Theatre Company.  Dan also appeared as Bardolf in Chimes at Midnight (Falstaff), Edmund in King Lear and MacDuff in Macbeth presented by A Taste of Shakespeare.  Dan enjoys gardening, kiking, camping and all kinds of performing arts.

 

Julia Luerman   Julia is a founding member of Woof! Productions, and portrayed Peggy in their inaugural show, Godspell .  She appeared at Longmont Theatre Company in the vintage radio broadcasts of War of the Worlds and Sorry, Wrong Number. Also at LTC, Julia played Granny and the Giant in Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods.  At the 2006 Boulder International Fringe Festival, Julia performed the role of heroine Daisy in The Great Western Melodrama. She was an active member of Readers Theater – a performance reading group sponsored by University Womens Club for 3-1/2 years, and enjoyed 13 years of singing and dancing in Barbershop quartets and chorus. Most recently, Julia was seen in Longmont Theatre Company’s production of Fiddler on the Roof.  She loved singing the music in Fiddler and playing Shaindel, the mother of the groom.

  Jay Moretz   Jay has been involved in community theatre since the age of 8, cast as one of Fagin's Boys in Oliver!. Jay has been in several community productions in his former home of North Carolina as well as in Colorado. He was most recently seen as Sgt. Carlino in LTC's production of Wait Until Dark. He has also played Junior in Dearly Departed, Tom the Bartender in Prelude to a Kiss, and Mr. Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank - all at Longmont Community Theatre. He has performed for Woof! in Godspell and as Harry in Company
  Arthur Ortega, Jr.   Arthur is a piano performance student of Dr Janet Landreth, the piano department chair of Colorado State University.  Arthur has served in the Boulder County area as Accompanist and Music Director for approximately 17 years.   I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change  marks Arthur's third show as Music Director for Woof! as well as for Godspell and Company.  Arthur is comfortable coaching instrumentalists and vocalists at all skill levels from amateur to professional.  He is grateful to Woof! Theatre Productions for being a part of such a great ensemble and production team.
  Robert Payo   Robert has been in two Woof! productions as Larry in Company and as part of the wonderful ensemble for I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  He has performed at the Denver Victorian Playhouse, Firehouse Theater, Evergreen Players, Performance Now, and other venues in the Denver area.  Favorite roles include Mr. Teevee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,  Iago in Othello, Harry Druggist in The Cradle Will Rock, and Protean in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.  Robert also recently served as producer for Vintage Theatre's production of Fat Pig at the Aurora Fox Theater and as assistant director for a children's production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown at Coal Creek Elementary in Louisville, Colorado.  An avid theater-goer, Robert can also be seen in the audience watching others perform whenever he gets the chance. 
  Aaron Quintana   Aaron has choreographed I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change and Company for Woof! Theatre Productions.  Favorite performance credits include West Side Story (Luis), Beauty and the Beast (Lefou), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Benjamin), 42nd Street  (Featured Ensemble), and A Chorus Line (Larry). Along with choreographing, he has also enjoyed directing, acting, and serving as dance captain for numerous productions. 
  Renee Rossi  Renee choreographed Woof!'s inaugural production of Godspell.  She has been dancing since she was three. She has performed in Radio City Music Hall’s Super bowl halftime show. (1999) and has also performed in numerous community and dinner theater productions throughout northern Colorado. Renee graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Dance with an emphasis on choreography and teaching. She currently teaches at The Dance Machine in Frederick and choreographs for local theaters. Her favorite roles include Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Belle in A Christmas Carol, and all three previous productions of Godspell.
  Eric Sammons   I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change was Eric's second show with Woof! Theatre Productions. Originally from Denver, Eric has a BA in Theatre from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.  He appeared in Woof!'s production of Company and also in Altar Boyz at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret (Evolution Theatre Company) and has worked with theatre students at George Washington High School in Denver to develop a Vaudeville show.
  Christine Sharpe    Christine was recently selected as runner up for best supporting actress in a musical for her work in I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change (Boulder Camera Eye Awards).  She graduated last spring from the University of Northern Colorado's acting program.  Recently, Christine played Lisabette in Anton in Show Business  with OpenStage Theatre Company in Fort Collins.  Other favorite roles include Jessica in The Merchant of Venice, Matilda in Indoor/Outdoor, Catherine in Pippin, and Dina in School House Rock Live!  She thanks her parents for their endless support as well as the rest of the audience for all they contribute to this wonderful company.  "I feel privileged to be a part of such an amazing theatre family."
  Doug Stillings    Doug was the light designer for Woof!'s Boulder production of I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change. He has been involved in theatre since he was six years old.  He has performed on stage in over fifty productions.  He moved to the technical side of theatre at age thirteen and has been there ever since. He thanks God for the opportunities he has been given.  He also thanks his wife Sarah for being an inspiration as well as the members of Woof!.
  Nanci Van Fleet   A founding member and board member of Woof!, Nanci was the assistant director for I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  She played Susan in Sondheim's Company and was in the inaugural production of Godspell.  She is slated to direct The Diviners in  May 2010 for Longmont Theatre Company.  Favorite roles include Nadine in Suspenders,  Beatrice in Much Ado about Nothing, Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, Touchstone in As You Like It,  the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Feste in Twelfth Night. Directing credits include Noises Off, Lend Me a Tenor and A Midsummer Nights Dream (4 times!).
  John White  John is proud to be a member of Woof! Productions, and to have recently performed for several shows at the Longmont Theatre Company, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys and Dolls, Casting, and Wait Until Dark. He is especially proud of his entire family for their involvement with community theatre, and for their support in his participation in Godspell. Being a red letter Christian (following the words of Jesus Christ written in the New Testament) he feels that the teachings and parables exemplify Christ’s importance in our daily living.
  Jill Woodhouse  Jill was last seen with Woof! in I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  She was seen last year as Sara in Company, also with Woof!.  Her favorite roles include Petra in A Little Night Music, Marcellina in Le Nozzi Di Figaro and Nellie in South Pacific.  When she's not on stage, Jill is a counselor with Imagine's CORE day program, where she works with developmentally disabled individuals.  She's married to Joel Burcham, an opera singer and voice professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Bernie Cardell  Bernie is honored to have directed last year's production of Company and to be associated with the fine and talented ensemble of WOOF!.  Previous dream directing projects include One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Longmont), The Mousetrap (Coal Creek), Wait Until Dark (Evergreen), The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow (Next Stage) and Three Viewings (Cheshire Cat). He has also directed Once Upon a Mattress (Longmont) and recently appeared in the uproarious comedy Incorruptible (Firehouse) and The Santaland Diaries (Vintage).  Thank you to Heather and Company and to anyone that does even the smallest thing to support live theatre.  Thrive.  
  Deborah Curtis   Deborah is a classically trained actress who still loves performing in musicals best of all and made her debut with Woof! in I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  Boulder audiences will remember Deborah from her appearances at the Nomad Theatre as Shirley in Shirley Valentine, as Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire and in the cast of Chapter Two.  In Denver, she appeared regularly at Country Dinner Playhouse and has also played at the Arvada Center, Avenue Theater, and the Denver Victorian. Deborah holds a BA in Acting from University of Northern Colorado and an MFA in Acting from Penn State University.
  Trent Hines   Trent is grateful to have worked with such a talented cast and crew as pianist for I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change.  He has been playing the piano since the age of 4 and began classical training when he was 11.  He began playing professionally at the age of 19, playing for churches, colleges, amusement parks, and touring the Mediterranean in a USO show.  He has played with several local bands such as Girls on Top, Willow and Trio, Jazz del Barrio and Phoenix Rising.  He is heavily involved in musical theater, serving in various productions as musical director/pianist/conductor at the University of Colorado and pianist/conductor at Longmont Theatre.  When he's not playing the piano, Trent keeps busy with his full-time job as a Systems Administrator and teaching aerobics for the cities of Westminster and Louisville.
  Pat Payne   Pat made his debut with Woof! as director for I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change for which Pat was recently awarded best director of a musical (Boulder Camera Eye Awards).  Past directing credits include Run For Your Wife (Colorado Backstage Award, Best Director), Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Incorruptible, among others.  Upcoming directing credits include Annie with Curtains Up, Leading Ladies for Vintage Theatre, and A Hotel on Marvin Gardens with Spotlight in May 2010.  
  Tom Priestly   Tom returned to Colorado theatre after a 16-month hiatus in Wisconsin as part of the running crew for  I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change. Tom has performed extensively with several local theatre companies including Longmont Theatre Company, California Actor's Theatre, and A Taste of Shakespeare.
  John Riggs   Originally from Oklahoma, John's performances include Boulder Broadway's production of Kiss Me Kate (Fred/Petruchio) and Performance Now Theatre Company's production of Beauty and the Beast (Gaston).  Professional credits include Batboy the Musical (Dr. Parker). My Way (Man #1), Zombies From the Beyond (Trenton Corbett), The Who's Tommy (Captain Walker), 1940's Radio Hour (B.J. Gibson), Eddie and the Ecclectics (Johnny Valentine), and A Christmas Carol (Fred Burnett), all performed with the American Theatre Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  John has also performed in various community theatre productions including Woof!'s productions of Godspell (Jesus) and Company (Bobby); as well as productions of Into the Woods (Baker), Anything Goes (Billy Crocker), Grease (Danny Zuko), The Fantastics (Matt), and West Side Story (Riff).  He also has fond memories of performing for a year at Six Flags Over Texas and AstroWorld.  John received his BA from Regis University and currently teaches mathematics at Nevin Platt Middle School in Boulder, Colorado.  Along with teaching math, John is the Producer/Director for school musicals at Platt. Directing credits include:  Alice in Wonderland, Into the Woods, Honk,Once On This Island, Bugsy Malone, Annie and Guys & Dolls.
  Lee Ann Scherlong   I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change was Lee Ann's first project with Woof! as the show's vocal coach.  She is an avid performer and musician. Lee Ann was most recently performed in The King and I in Greeley and also served as musical director for Annie with Pat Payne for Curtains Up.
  Peter Trinh  Peter was last seen in, I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change,  working with the jubilant Pat Payne.  He hopes there will be many dates in the audience spanning from first dates to anniversaries.  Past credits include:  The War Anthology (Curious Theater), The King and I (Town Hall Arts Center), Romeo and Juliet (Vintage Theatre), Humbug and Shakespeare's Brother (Celebration Works).
